FUNCTION

The LORENZ DEEPMAX Z1 is based on the motionless Pulse GBS (Pulse Ground Balancing System). Short and intense magnetic vibrations are primarily emitted by the search coil. These magnetic vibrations primarily create eddy currents in conductive materials such as metals. The eddy currents in question will be preserved in the metal object and will disappear when the magnetic vibration emitted by the coil ends. Since the delayed detection phase is carried out by the same search coil (which now acts as a receiver), it is possible to detect these eddy currents. In order to detect these small voltage changes and to be able to separate these special signals from the interference, quite complex electronic circuits are required. In order for this signal to have an audio phase, it must be amplified by a voltage controlled oscillator (VCO), i.e. when metal appears near the detection area of the VCO coil, it sends a signal via the headphones or the internal speaker. The eddy currents generated in the metal object by the primary ground vibrations will disappear at different times depending on the conductivity of the metal object. Therefore, the classification circuit gives noticeable delays in the eddy current readings taken in unit time. In addition, detection is possible for all types of minerals, metal or non-metal, with the Double D head. This gives more information about the probable type of substance, and moreover, thanks to the sound emitted, it makes it easier to detect the location and size of the buried metal object.

ADVANTAGES

The Pulse GBS system has the advantages of using large diameter coils and high transmission power, which are particularly important for deep detection. Different sizes and shapes of wired coils mounted on the frame can be connected to the LORENZ DEEPMAX Z1 without any adjustments.

A special adaptation circuit has been added to the detector to automatically adapt to different coil systems. This provides extraordinary depth capability when connected to any coil. As the diameter of the search coil increases, the sensitivity to large objects will also increase. At the same time, smaller objects will be detected with less sensitivity. This feature is preferred to detect large objects and ignore small objects. Large coils offer high range detection. Even in difficult terrains where magnetic iron oxidation occurs, the LORENZ DEEPMAX Z1 will provide extraordinary depth capability for both iron and non-ferrous metals (gold, silver, copper, etc.) when the Ground Balance System is used. Other devices are frequently affected by ground effects, which reduces the depth in deeper detections.

With the LORENZ DEEPMAX Z1, objects at almost the same depth can be detected in almost all soil types or "air tests". The DEEPMAX Z1's high sensitivity to non-ferrous metals such as gold, silver and copper, new target analysis and many different detection functions make the device superior.

DEEPMAX Z1 gives a visual signal on the screen (LCD) for each detected mineral. The detector gives a number between 000-099 depending on the delay caused by the reading and the mineral is classified accordingly. The target classification circuit is sometimes affected by the size of the metal object, therefore it can identify small coins as large mineral pieces. The LORENZ DEEPMAX Z1 also offers more sophisticated and purified target analysis for ferrous and non-ferrous minerals with 26 cm and 35 cm DD coils in difficult soil conditions. The detector also gives an audible warning via headphones or speaker. According to depth detection tests (tests performed in air) the results are almost the same for many types of soil and therefore significantly higher probability results are obtained compared to standard pulse induction or sine wave type VLF-TR detectors.

Many different searchcoils can be connected to this metal detector. Large areas can be scanned efficiently with frame coils. Salt water, different soil types or temperature changes may only slightly affect the detection range of the DEEPMAX Z1. You can separate unwanted objects such as nails or foils or present them as small unwanted objects, thus allowing you to focus on larger and deeper objects. When connected with small searchcoils, the DEEPMAX Z1 is an excellent tool for detecting small objects at depth.

Lorenz Z1 Data Logger Surfer 11 software is a feature exclusively for the Lorenz Z1 series.

After the field data is collected, Surfer 11 software converts the data stored on the USB Stick into color maps, contour lines, surface images or vector maps on the computer easily and accurately within a few minutes. Therefore, an additional Scripter Software automatically creates twelve maps in each area, six two-dimensional and six three-dimensional. This allows the operator to choose between different discrimination and mapping methods.
