GROUND RADAR TECHNOLOGY FROM GERMANY

KS-700

Features / Technical Data

The KS-700 device was developed for localization/location of underground cavities. It is a ground penetrating radar (GPR) and works according to the "FMCW-radar" principle. Ground penetrating radar conducts research at depths between 0 m and 40 m in hard ground structure. In the calcareous ground structure, we detected tunnels remaining from World War II at a depth of 60 m; these tunnels were 5 m wide and 7 m deep. As stated on the references page of our website; with this device, locations of smaller underground cavities remaining from the 18th century were determined and underground creepage channels towards coal mines were detected. These channels were located at a depth of 26.3 m and were easily determined with ground radar. Our ground radar also detects metals buried underground; our device is mostly used for this type of underground searches in southern countries. In determining cavities and metals such as basements, shelters, tunnels etc.; also in the detection of channels, underground lines (electricity, water lines), old mines and similar places. This radar receives measurement data and these data are instantly displayed as 2D-Graphics on the Tablet PC during the measurement.

KS-700 delivery:
– Electronic control unit

– 2D (2-dimensional) visualization software (for 3D software, "Golden Surfer" software must be purchased separately, "Voxler" is used with this device),

– Battery carrying case, device (KS-700) carrying case,

– USB cable for battery,

– Connection cable,

– 1 Antenna (integrated/fixed to the device).

Most manufacturers offer different frequency ranges and therefore different antennas. The lower the frequency, the deeper the depth can be reached/descended, but the worse the resolution. Resolution means: With low frequency it is not possible to find a small object, but a better depth performance is achieved. For this reason, some manufacturers produce pulse radars that offer different antennas in different frequency ranges. In order to eliminate the geophysical contradiction as best as possible, a compromise solution had to be found. We solved this problem with our own devices. We specialize in FMCW radar and thus we have chosen an operating frequency that penetrates to a very good depth according to the ground structure and offers acceptable resolution.

Therefore we do not need various antennas.

During the shipment of ground penetrating radar, a user manual CD is sent together with it. This user manual explains and shows the measurement process, software settings and device adjustment. Since we have customers all over the world, we have prepared a video film, the content of the video film is as follows;

1. Installation of ground radar,

2. Starting operation of ground radar,

3. Setting up the software,

4. Complete measurement process,

5. Evaluation of measurement diagrams,

6. Recording of measurement data,

7. Turning off ground radar.

When the 2D software is run, the English language is displayed. The software is in English, German and Turkish.
